Terms of Use

1. The Service

Gloryward provides personalized daily devotionals, a Bible reader, a prayer journal, reminders and shareable verse images. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Not professional advice

Gloryward offers spiritual encouragement. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional or your pastor. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact local emergency services right away. In the US, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

3. Subscriptions and free trial

• A subscription is required to use Gloryward after the setup questions. Gloryward offers auto-renewing subscriptions: yearly ($49.99 per year) and monthly ($9.99 per month). Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
• The yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The monthly plan has no free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the end of the trial, or at confirmation of purchase if there is no trial.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and duration unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings (iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If we change subscription prices, we will give you notice as required by Apple and applicable law.

4. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. You agree not to copy, resell or redistribute our original content; reverse engineer the app except where the law allows; interfere with the Service's security or operation; or use the Service for anything unlawful or harmful.

5. Your content

Prayers and notes you write belong to you. They are stored on your device, and you are responsible for keeping backups. When you share verse images, you are responsible for how and where you share them.

6. Scripture and ownership

The Holy Bible, Berean Standard Bible, BSB. Dedicated to the public domain. BereanBible.com.

The King James Version is in the public domain in most of the world. In the United Kingdom it is subject to rights of the Crown.

Paintings used in verse images come from public domain or CC0 museum open-access collections.

All other content, including devotional reflections, prayers, design, the Gloryward name and logo, and the app's software, is owned by Gloryward or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gloryward will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

8. Apple terms

These Terms are between you and Gloryward, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Termination, changes and governing law

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. We may update these Terms; we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts of Fortaleza, Ceará, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise or gives you the right to sue in the courts of your place of residence.
